wood block - 2" x 3" x 1 1/2". Begin by drawing on top, bottom and sides the shapes of the six horses. Carving starts from the outside and work my way to the interior horses.

The next step in bronze casting is to make a mold from the finished carving. Then to the bronze foundry where composite of 90% copper and 10% tin are melted and poured into the mold. The final step is the application of a patina.
